Throughout the country football depends on the services of keen, dedicated people, both men and women, who make a vast contribution to the game at all levels from parks to premiership, and beyond, as referees and assistant referees. Each week there are games played without qualified officials because there are not enough referees to cover all the fixtures.
Prior to the training of Referees being taken over by the Football Association, since its formation in 1949, NMRS ran over 200 Training Courses, seeing around 2000 people qualify as Referees. Locally, all referee training is now centrally co-ordinated by Middlesex County FA on behalf of the Football Association.
Courses can also be arranged for local clubs - providing there are sufficient numbers, and courses can also be run on the Rules of Mini Soccer. For further information, please contact Middlesex FA - E-Mail here
