Welcome to 2016 - a Happy New Year from the Officers and Council.
Society member Chris Proud kept an attendance of old and new faces (mainly old) thoroughly entertained whilst recounting some of his experiences as an Assistannt Referee in top flight football. A full account will be in next month's magazine.

Society Member Jeff Till is making the ultimate sacrifice as he will be running the London Marathon in aid of the British Lung Foundation and has committed to raise a minimum of £2,000. "I selected this charity because my sister-in-law Ann, died of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (aged 52) having never smoked in her life, following her diagnosis we realised as a family how underfunded lung cancer is, despite it being the biggest killing cancer in Britain the prognosis had been left pretty much unchanged for at least the last four decades, in short nothing seems to be moving forward for the treatment and prognosis of lung cancer" said Jeff.
